History

In 2008 for the first time under the guidance of Dietmar Stuck sen. the whole S&K Brunnenbohr team went on holiday together to Kenya, and stayed in the Dani-Beach region near Mombasa. The company members spent a lovely 14-day vacation together in the "Africa Safari Beach Resort" by the sea and enjoyed the luxury and culinary delicacies of the beautiful tourist complex.

While on a safari in the heart of Kenya the S&K team first noticed the water scarcity in remote villages. The S&K-team witnessed how children desperately scratched holes in the ground to find water. These frightening and sobering pictures of the water shortage in Kenya prompted members of  the S&K-team to actively campaign to establish their foundation "Life needs Water".

These impressions and insights raised their awareness so strongly and became firmly embedded in their consciousness that on returning
from their Kenyan trip Gabriele & Dietmar Stuck sen. then founded the relief organisation "LNW - Life Needs Water".  Since 2009 they have campaigned on a honorary basis and with large personal commitment for the realisation of drinking water projects and for the training of
the young people to be well drillers in areas poor in water.

Under the patronage of Gabriele & Dietmar Stuck sen.  peoples awareness is drawn to the water situation in countries with water scarcity in numerous lectures, events and water events thereby realising a valuable contribution for the people in countries badly in need of drinking water.
