location/water situation: North coast of Diani Beach, approx. 1 hour away from Mombasa.

In Kenya / Mtwapa there are several wells and even water pipes in the town. Nevertheless, the property of the association "caribou Care" lies approx. 3 km beyond the town.

status of the project: The well for a child care center is finished.

Why Mtwapa? The coastal town developed very quickly and in the beginning the tourism also brought developments with itself. However, now there are many unemployed people because of the strong immigration and an increase of the prostitution on grounds of the tourist inquiry.
